Jeff
Sears – 20 years in High School and Youth Baseball
 Jeff Sears is in his 20th
year as a director with the Mark Cresse School of Baseball. Jeff enters his
16th year as South County Director and 20th with Mark Cresse School of Baseball.
After being an assistant coach for Division III national power Chapman University
for 3 years, Jeff is in his first year as head varsity baseball coach at Laguna
Beach High School. Jeff has previously coached at his alma mater, Cal State
Dominguez Hills, and University High School.
Mark Cresse – 22 years Los Angeles
Dodgers Coach
 Mark Cresse had a 22 year
reign as coach for the Los Angeles Dodgers through 1998. The Dodgers captured
5 National League pennants and 2 World Series titles in his long and distinguished
career. In 1984 Mark founded his unique training program and branded it Mark
Cresse Camp. He began with 140 ballplayers and one camp site and have since
grown to six camp sites and more than 2,000 ballplayers in 2008. More importantly,
as the competition has increased in baseball camps, Mark Cresse has become
Southern California's most respected baseball camp because parents understand
the true value and quality of the program he offers.
The Mark Cresse School of Baseball difference is Mark Cresse. This unique
individual takes great pride in the personal care and attention given to
every ballplayer's well-being. Obsessed with detail, perfection, and an uncompromised
work ethic, Mark founded the camp with the philosophy, "If the camp

Coach Lance Stewart was a CIF Champion and CIF Player of the Year as well
as a 2x Junior Olympic Champion and Junior Olympics MVP as a player
As a Coach Lance has 4 CIF Titles, 2 State Titles and 2 National Championships
as a Head High School Volleyball Coach at Laguna Beach and Corona Del Mar
High Schools.
He is currently the Head Boys and Girls Volleyball Coach at Laguna Beach
High School, where his girls team is back to back CIF Champions

Charlie Brande – Coached
29 National Championship Teams in Women’s Club Indoor Volleyball
which has produced over 300 Collegiate Volleyball players.
 Charlie Brande begins
his ninth season as the head coach of the UCI women's volleyball team. In
2007 five Anteaters were named to All-Big West teams under Brande
In seven seasons, Brande has tutored 27 All-Big West Conference selections
and seven of his players have amassed 14 Player of the Week awards. Two Anteaters,
Kelly Wing and Amanda Vazquez, were named AVCA All-Americans while Wing became
UCI's first Big West Player of the Year in the sport of women's volleyball
in 2004.
Brande began his UCI coaching career as the head coach of the men's
program. Serving as the Director of Volleyball from 1999-2002. In 1999
Brande was awarded Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Coach of the Year
honors after his team recorded wins over then-No. 1 Long Beach State, No.
2 UCLA and No. 7 Hawaii. He produced 10 All-MPSF honorees as well as three
All-Americans in his tenure.
Brande is a prominent figure in club volleyball, serving as the Orange
County Volleyball Club's director since 1982. In that 24-year span, he
has administered 29 national championship teams and produced over 300 collegiate
women's volleyball players, including 16 NCAA All-Americans. Thirteen of
19 Club Cups have been won under the OCVBC banner and several former players
remain prominent figures in volleyball today. Several collegiate coaches
have passed through OCVBC, including Long Beach State's Debbie Green-Vargas,
Wellesley's Dorothy Webb and former Indiana coach Elaina Oden. Former national
team players Bev Oden and Jenny Evans, AVP pro Rachel Wacholder and former
USC standout April Ross all competed under Brande during their club years.
Brande also retains his connections to men's and boys volleyball as
well. As the director of the Balboa Bay Volleyball Club since 1976, Brande
won 25 national titles and sent more than 90 players to the men's collegiate
ranks.
Troy Tanner – Coached
Misty May and Kerri Walsh to a Beach Volleyball Gold Medal in Beijing
 Winner of the
FIVB’s Best Passer Award at the ’89 World Cup, Tanner played
on the U.S. Team for three years (1987-’90) and was a member of the
1988 U. S. Men’s Gold Medal team at the Seoul Olympics. A 3-time All-American
at Pepperdine, Tanner was named the Collegiate Freshman of the Year and was
part of two NCAA Championship teams. He was named the AVP Rookie of the Year
in 1992 and picked up honors for the Defensive Player of the Year and the
Most Improved Player in 1997. Currently, Tanner is an assistant coach for
the U.S. Men’s National Team and also coaches the girls and boys teams
at JSerra High School in San Juan Capistrano. Previously he was an assistant
coach at BYU, helping the team to two NCAA championships.
Karch Kiraly says . . . “Troy is one of those rare players who
could – and did – play every position, doing whatever it took
to help his team improve. That intimate knowledge of each position gives
him a huge advantage as a coach. He’s also one of the few coaches
I’ve seen enter a program and make a difference – he did it
at BYU, and he continues to do it today.”
Tom Howard – Pro
Wrestling, MMA, Film & Television Experience
 Tom has been studying
and competing in Martial Arts and Wrestling for nearly 30 years and is
an experienced instructor of Pro Wrestling, Japanese
Puroresu, Mexican Lucha Libre and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). He is a veteran
of more than 1000 matches/bouts around the world and has appeared regularly
on TV and Pay-Per-View. Tom has experience in virtually every aspect
of Pro Wrestling and MMA as it relates to Film and TV.
Tom’s career highlights include:
· Veteran Performer/Competitor in Pro Wrestling, Mixed Martial
Arts and Kickboxing for worlds top companies including WWE, Zero One,
UFO, K1, Cage Rage, IFL, All Japan, Noah, IGF & AAA
· Former US Heavyweight Champion in wrestling and NWA Tag Champion
in Japan
· Instructor/Host of Ultimate Pro Wrestling Training, the industries
leading instructional series w/ students including John Cena & Samoa

· Experienced Actor, Stuntman, Producer, Technical Producer,

and Danny Bonaduce for Hulk Hogan’s Celebrity Championship Wrestling.
Tom combines hands-on experience in the Mixed Martial Arts & Pro
Wrestling industries with experience in Film & TV, on camera and
behind the scenes, to bring the highest levels of reality, professionalism
and expertise to every project.
Jason Wright
 Jason
Wright is one of the finest basketball trainers in the United States. He brings
a strong sense of discipline and creativity to the hardwood. His students are
some of the most fundamentally sound AAU, high school, collegiate and professional
basketball players in the world. As a former Division 1 student athlete at
the University of New Orleans, Jason earned the respect from his peers through
his intense work ethic and hard-nosed approach to the game. He has competed
against such NBA greats as Derek Fisher, Allen Iverson and Jason Kidd, played
professionally overseas in Europe, and was a successful walk-on at the Seattle
Supersonics training camp before seriously injuring his achilles tendon. In
2001, he formed JW Basketball and since that time has become Southern California's
premier basketball trainer.
